  • Facility Description
Just 15 minuets southwest of Colorado Springs at the base of the Rocky Mountains lies Mountaindale Campground—a beautiful experience of the west. Campers will stay in furnished cabins during their time at camp. Sumo Golf Village will be the host golf course during the week. The 18-hole championship layout, designed by Gary Player, will test the accomplished player and go easy on the beginner. Also, campers will experience the unique Black Bear Ranch during their stay—a majestic 40-acre property in a golf setting. The vision of owner Garth Hystad, Black Bear Ranch was designed to experience Colorado and the joy of golf. During camp, students will use video for full-swing analysis, and they will improve their overall short game technique including chipping, pitching, bunker play, and putting. In addition, campers will enjoy times of recreation playing sand volleyball, fishing, or just taking in the Colorado wilderness.

    Cost
The camp cost listed will cover all on-site expenses, room, meals, greens fees, range balls, instruction, FCA Athlete Bible, camp T-shirt, prizes, insurance, and nightly recreational activities.

    Travel Plans

Transportation to and from camp is the responsibility of the camper. Contact the Golf Camp Director (listed to the left) for pickup and drop-off guidelines for the airport. Campers should plan to arrive at camp on the day camp begins and leave the day camp ends. Early arrivals will have an additional cost.
