| Apostles on the Mission Field: The Mission 4:33 Team Mission 4:33 is an elite team of college golfers who volunteer their summer to serve the Lord Jesus Christ through the game of golf. This is the third year for the program, and we are excited about the five young adults who are participating.
“Mission 4:33” comes from Acts 4:33, “And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on all of them.” The goal for the team is for them to have the same power to testify to young people at golf camps.
In May, five young adults from all over the U.S. will travel to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, to undergo intensive training to transform them from students into experienced Huddle Leaders, similar to camp counselors. The goal for the training will be to prepare each member of the team to become a leader as well as instruct them as to how they can help raise the spiritual temperature at camp.
From training, they will go directly to the World Golf Village camp in St. Augustine, Florida. There, this elite team will have hands-on experience with campers to challenge them spiritually.
Throughout the rest of the summer, the Mission 4:33 team members will be dispersed throughout the country to more than half of the 24 FCA golf camps from Florida to Wyoming. The feedback FCA Golf received last year was very positive, and through Mission 4:33 we expect hundreds of young lives to be impacted.
Please pray for these young adults as they raise funds and prepare their hearts for a God-filled, golf-filled, and fun-filled summer! The 2007 Mission 4:33 Team
