FCA Golf Ryder Cup Marathon

Raising funds for junior golfers the fun way
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL—The annual FCA Ryder Cup Marathon was held on Monday, March 17, 2008, at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. We appreciate everyone who participated in the event and raised funds for the ministry! Congratulations to the WHITE TEAM, who defeated the BLUE TEAM, 91½ to 88½. A close match!

“The Ryder Cup Marathon is a great competitive event that just happens to incorporate a fund-raising element,” said Hal Seward, FCA Golf’s Senior Director. “The great thing is that you get a full day of golf, a team uniform, great meals, and, through the individual golfer’s efforts, the ministry raises money for our Junior Golf Camp Scholarship Fund.”

Marathon Sponsors:

Each golfer will be asked to do 4 things:
1. Commit to put forth your best effort to reach your pledge goal of $2,500.
2. Must raise a minimum of $1,000 to participate.
3. Commit to sponsor yourself for $100 or more.
4. Identify a partner that you can team up with and that will commit to the 3 requirements listed above.

Every dollar raised supports FCA Golf and its mission to make a difference in the lives of young people through the great game of golf!

FCA Ministry Opportunities:

Junior Golf Camps—23 camps around the United States where young people have great fun, improve as golfers, and have the opportunity to grow spiritually. There's potential to reach more than 1,000 kids for Christ this summer!

FCA Breakfasts with the Pros—More than 30 FCA "Breakfast with the Pros" events during this golf season.

FCA Tour Ministry—Providing relationships and Bible studies on 8 professional golf tours.

FCA National Scramble—54-hole National Championship much like the Buick Scramble.

FAQs:
Do I have to be good golfer to play?
NO!! The marathon is for golfers of all skill levels.

If I don't raise $2,500 can I still play in the marathon?
YES!! The $2,500 is just a goal FCA Golf has set for each participant. FCA Golf does however ask that you raise a minimum of $1,000 to participate in play.

What is all the sponsorship money being used for?
Your support you raise will go toward funding the various FCA Golf ministries.
