FCA Golf Ryder Cup Marathon Event Date: March 17, 2008
Event Location: Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, the Ocean Course and Lagoon Course, is our event location this year. It is one of North Florida's premier resort golf clubs.

Event History: 2008 marks the event's 7th year anniversary! The past two years, a Ryder Cup format was used and participants enjoyed a high level of competition and sportsmanship. We will divide the participants into two teams. Each participant will pair up with a partner and represent their team by competing in 4 different "match play" matches during the day. Each participant will play in a better ball, alternate shot, and scramble team match, and finish the day with a singles match. Each match will be 9 holes. Each golfer will play 36 holes total. The Ryder Cup format makes for one highly competitive and very exciting day!
Goal: Recruit 40 players to raise $100,000 through sponsorships.
Purpose: A fund-raising event for the FCA Golf Ministry. The money raised goes toward impacting young golfers and Tour players with the love of Jesus Christ.
You are going to have a blast participating in this event! This year, we are going to ride on the heels of the success of last year's event, once again playing in a Ryder Cup format. The sheer magnitude of playing golf all day in a Ryder Cup format will give you a major adrenaline rush! In addition, you will be competing for exciting prizes and making new friends. You'll receive plenty of food and soft drinks throughout the day. And while you're having all this fun, you'll be making a tremendous difference in the lives of many young people.
