Dublin, Ireland

We arrived today from Newark at about 11:00 AM local time. I flew in with three other team members who will be doing the golf camp with me. Donnie, Diana, and Sam. We all had delays getting to Newark and I thought for a little while that I was going to miss my flight to Dublin.

At one point they got on the speaker in Phoenix and said we would be delayed two hours. Then they began boarding us five minutes later only to roll us onto the tarmac to sit in the penalty box. Anyway, we flew all night, got little sleep, but we made it for the chamber of commerce weather in Dublin today. It was spectacular! I could live here if it was like this all the time. Sunny and 50.

The group from Operation Mobilization (OM) picked us up at the airport and we were off to see some sites in the city. We strolled around the streets for a little while before heading into The Dukes for a bite to eat. I decide on the beef in red wine and mushroom sauce with rice for my first true Irish meal experience. It was really yummy.

After we got finished with lunch we headed out for some more of Dublin. Because the weather was so good today there were tons of people in the streets plus performers everywhere who were showing off their skills. We saw everything from bands playing, gospel choirs, human statues, and a dude who made a sand sculpture of a dog. Pretty cool.

Our final stop before we headed to our accommodations for the week was Trinity College which looks like the type of place that if you went there it would make you smart even if you’re not. And oh yah—case you didn’t know—there is plenty of water here too!

Catch ya tomorrow!

Still looking for me lucky charms,

BB
